fireflies...

do you ever wish that you could go back to childhood... i don't mean wishing your life away, but for a split second... go back... just to take everything in. to bask in the innocence of being a little kid...how precious it is... to have faith like a child... when your biggest 'problem' was if your mom was going to give you bbq chips or sour cream & onion chips with your peanut butter & jelly sandwich for lunch...

there were absolutely no problems in 'your world' & there was happiness beyond compare. don't get me wrong, i love my life that because of grace i am blessed with... but sometimes i find myself yearning for the simplicity of childhood... being so carefree & worryfree. back when the 'bad guys' were comic book characters...

when i would sit there & catch fireflies in a jar (which i actually did)...

isn't God's creation just simply breathtaking? i don't know the source of these pictures, but i wish that i did... these are real pictures of real fireflies off some trail (i think in australia?)... aren't they just amazing.

oh and dancing... i think of my niece, addison... her carefree spirit to dance in the middle of EVERYWHERE... adam & i, her parents, whoever will start dancing with her & laughing & giggling like a little child... why? because... it make you happy to act like a kid... to be carefree like NO ONE is watching... hence the phrase,
"dance like no one is watching..."

wouldn't that be the best? to fall asleep under the night sky with fireflies twinkling around you (well, as long as they don't land on your face)!
